Yes, since I've got some more time, and people want another compo, here it is!

What's new? This time we've got a theme:

CGA Palette

Yeah. Use only 4 of those.

The concept is still to make a game in about 3 hours. Then we have a poll and decide who wins.

Deadline:

2 weeks from now, let's say the 14th of june.

I thought we were sticking with the standard 2 graphics modes. :( But if that's possible on the hardware BP then I guess it's tolerable.

If it were up to me I'd say no blend modes because those kill the aesthetic really but w/e. It isn't up to me entirely. :U

I print screened them from the wiki article. Figured if any one wants a quick reference. Also, the bg colour of the image doesn't count as one. I used it so the white was visible.

Such an ugly palette when you see it all useless like that. But can we only use 4? I'd rather use them all  =| :^) . But fours fine I guess.

Looking at those colours burns them into my eyes  :P THE PAIN!! Sounds like an awesome comp idea anyway, I'll whip something up next week when I have holidays fo sure. Something with Adventure this time around  :) I'd say no to effects of any sorts honestly, including alpha and what not as that creates more colours, even if it just adjusting the translucency I'm sure you get my drift. What we all agree on I guess? So i'd say no to anything MORE then 4 colours?

I am just using black, a gray, and white. :P

Actually, I am almost complete my game... other than music.

Oh, and, on that page, it said that the resolution cannot be larger than 640 by 200. Does this matter, or can we make the resolution larger?

How to play:
Stay alive for as long as possible. Use the arrow keys to move, hold Z to use a Power Blast.
To stay alive: Avoid running out of the room, or being hit by spikes, wall spikes, planes, etc.

Hopefully I followed all the rules. I used three colours (Black, Light Gray, White), screen resolution 640 by 480.

Took me about 2 and a half to 3 and a half hours.
