Now thats a fun game. The level was perfect because it was harder to get to that top level but that top level could get massive combos.
The graphics were awesome, I especially like the running anim, and the background manga star, and that thing Brian did in his game/health represented by a circle thing
.
I got 68 points so far. I didn't know that it could get so big after you charged it long enough
that was pretty cool.
I didn't really find the right click useful at all. Maybe I didn't know how to use it right.
Modify: Also, THANK YOU for resolution change XD . Nice and crisp without all the blurring or being too small.

Not very good being my first coded game and all.
I added an MP3 to it just for irony, so now it is 8 megs. I was going to add crawling.mp3 but then I realized I don't have that.
Thanks to Bisse, JW and Kval for helping me figure stuff out.
Z shoots, X shields, directions to move, R to restart
Based on this image from a long time ago:
Didn't have time to add the flashes and blood and effects though.
It has a lot of problems; I forgot to put on his arms for instance.

I had to REALLY plan this out. I had 15 minutes to make the sound files! Forgive the main "menu". I had little story planned for the main character if I had time. I ran out of time!
Enjoy it if you can:

ShaneHeres, I thought that was interesting! It reminded me a bit of fly guy, but with a bit more points for style!
im9today, I really like the main character! I did have a hard time staying on my magic carpet though!
JW, that was a fun little shooter you have developing in No Clean Kill!
Excited about your bazooka shoota!

That was a really cool concept Lupi. I just wish I could have moved around a bit easier, maybe through throwing out some other 'planets' to hover around, maybe the moon even? Just throwing out some thoughts.

Radno-review time
This is response to JW's game:
Quote
what the fuck does 'boost' do except for make a useless circle appear? :S why can't I jump over half of those buildings?
awesome effects and shit though, and pretty fun. Insane for 3 hours. The way the menu works and looks is pretty much exactly like all of Cactus' arcade games haha.
My favourite so far and a clear
out of
points from me.

Oh man that's hard. I'd like it to be a little easier to jump the first time though, you really have to jump at a tangent to the.. blob thing. If you could jump on a more acute angle, and perhaps fly through the blocks for a frame or two after jumping so that you didn't get trapped, it might be a bit more fun. Neat concept!

That is confusing to say the least. I really didn't know what was going on for a long time and then I died and I didn't come back and I kept getting points from beyond the grave... then I realised it was a sort of post-modern game where YOU are the enemies and you are merely controlling the character via mind control and it's completely futile for it to try and beat you because your machinegun birds are busy in the salt mines to the left of the screen earing wonderful points.
art game at its best 100/105.23

No gameplay but even more of an art game than im9. It delves into the psyche of a sleeping drunken toddler nicely. A/10 for effort.

If we get a couple more entries would you guys mind me posting the games in a few places? I'd just straight up quote your posts.

'k. :B I'm editing mine because it had a LOT of crippling problems (Hint: those bullets don't hurt the enemies. Oops. You can reflect the bullets back to kill them though), so there'll be a more-like-seven-hours version too.
I think three hours is just too short. If I had had more like six it could, and will be, when I'm done, a lot better. <sentence structure lol Then again it was my first coded game so...
@Radnom: Did you read the controls dude? It's bad but it isn't
that
bad, you hit R to restart.
